“Depart from wickedness and do good, aim at well–being, and pursue it. The eyes of Jehovah are towards the righteous and his ears towards their cry for help. The face of Jehovah is against such as do wickedness to cut off from the earth their memory.” –Psalm 34:14-16
The Lord is calling all believers to turn away from evil and actively do good, to seek peace and righteousness. God watches over those who follow His ways, listening to their prayers and providing help in times of trouble. But He stands against those who persist in wickedness, ensuring that their influence and legacy eventually fade away.
We must make a conscious effort to reject sin and live righteously, not just avoiding evil but actively doing good. Seeking peace means more than just avoiding conflict — it involves working for harmony and well-being in our lives and communities. The Lord is attentive to those who strive for righteousness, but those who choose wickedness will ultimately face judgment. Living according to Jehovah’s will ensures His guidance, protection, and favor.
