Churches and Organisations Don’t Save Anyone

“When one says, ‘I follow Paul,’ and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human? What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” (1 Corinthians 3:4-6, ESV)

Some people stay busy sharing their church’s social events on social media rather than the Bible or Gospel itself; in my opinion, it would appear that some of these individuals are borderline cult members. The sad thing is, they probably don’t even realise it.

Stop for a moment and ask yourself: Will a person be saved by my church or by the Gospel of Jesus Christ? The fact is, churches, sects, and denominations don’t save anyone. It is God the Father, through the blood of Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit who saves a person’s soul. When we elevate a denomination over God and His will and plans, we are usurping Jehovah’s sovereignty.
